Siberian Research Inc (SRI) was founded in an effort to provide catteries the tools and information necessary to improve the Siberian breed. Our current primary focus is ongoing research and dissemination of information regarding genetic disease and feline allergens.

Membership in SRI is $45 yearly.  This helps defray costs of ongoing research expenses.  Active members of Siberian Research are provided updates on research projects and access to other services described below.

Compiled Research Information. Completed research projects will be published for members use. This with include data on disease studies, allergen testing, and in-home testing methods.

Allergen Testing and Interpretation. Two methods of allergen testing have been researched and developed by SRI.  One test measures the quantity of allergen present in cat saliva, while the other measures allergen present in cat fur.

Mentorship. SRI can provide new breeders aid in setting up their catteries and choosing breeding cats. Experienced breeders may also ask for confidential help or research in genetic issues.

Cattery listings. Your cattery and contact information will automatically be listed on our membership page.  We do not provide unlisted memberships.

Listing of Allergen Test Results. (Optional) We have noticed an increase in breeders and pet buyers who are actively searching for low allergy kittens. Breeders may opt to list cats tested through SRI as a free service to prospective buyers.
