Since 2005, Siberian Research members have studied diseases and allergen issues in the Siberian Breed.  This has required in-depth pedigree analysis and the cooperation of several major universities.

During these studies, we have learned of several health issues facing pet owners and breeders alike.  While general information and resources are available to the general public, the following lists additional services available to SRI members.

Siberian health studies. Completed and ongoing research projects are published for members use. These include general findings, and specific information on disease studies and allergen issues.

Allergen Testing. Two methods of allergen testing are available. One test measures the quantity of allergen present in cat saliva. The other test measures the quantity of allergen present in cat fur. SRI will provide forms and information for testing, and help interpret results.

Pedigrees & Mentorship. New breeders often need a helping hand setting up their cattery and selecting breeding cats. Experienced breeders may request confidential help in researching particular cattery issues. SRI can provide help in these areas.

Cattery Listings.  A courtesy cattery listing will be listed on our membership page. You may add a link to your home page without additional charge.
